A sustainable diamond is certified to adhere to twelve core ethical principles aligned to the strictest internationally recognized norms of business integrity which meet the comprehensive environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
Sustainable diamonds are tracked through a verified origin traceability process that provides 99.9% accuracy of the origin of each diamond through its entire chain of custody, from producer to point of sale.
By being committed to the principle of doing no harm to humans or environment, during the production process and working actively to avoid, eliminate or offset any impacts that might be associated with the production process.
Velvet Luxury’s melee diamond suppliers meet all of the above methods of ensuring diamond sustainability. For our larger pieces which require whole stones of 0.5ct and above Velvet Luxury uses diamond substitutes in the form of Moissanites, they’re by ensuring that all of our pieces are truly sustainable and eco friendly.
